Cold and Creaky October 5, 2007
Posted by kimayars WalkIt was a bit chilly today. Couple that with it’s the end of the week and Beth and I just didn’t feel like running. We had planned to do hills, but after jogging up the first hill I just felt blah. Staying up until 1am the night before probably didn’t help much, either. So, we walked the hills instead. It was kind of nice, especially since it wasn’t raining this morning. I have realzied that I should probably dig out some gloves. The temperature is definitely dropping.

I’m proud of you for continuing to get up in the morning and get out there. Not giving into to the “its-cold-and-dark-and-wet-stay-in-bed-and-cuddles” is a big accomplishment in itself. I’m terrible at getting up in the AM & am so impressed by those of you who not only get up at the crack of the crack but manage to do some form of exercise as well. Keep it up & keep listening to what your body needs!
Walking up the hills is sometimes faster than running and you still get the benefit. I walk up hills because it feels better and costs less energy. Then I am able to get back to my running pace.
