How far ’til we turn around??? October 7, 2007
Posted by kimayars RunBeth and I survived our run - 7.51 miles. We are hurtin’. We ran the Snoqualmie Valley Trail which is all uphill. The second half of our run (after we turned around) was MUCH easier (whee!). But until then it was a beast to keep going. The run was beautiful, cutting through trees and passing the forks of the Snoqualmie River several times. It was quiet, and more importantly, NO STOPLIGHTS.
I do think Jeff needs some pointers on motivation. When we got back (Jeff was watching Beth’s daughter for us) he asked us how far we ran. We proudly told him 7.5 miles. He then said, “I thought you were supposed to do 6? Can’t you ladies do the math?” Umm, I think something more inspirational would have been more uplifting. He did make up for it with some blueberry pancakes.
I’m very happy with our pace. I was fully expecting 12 min/miles.
Now I’m going to go melt into a puddle of goo.

Hey, on the in-motion map, it gave the elevation gain as 425. Don’t sell us short! That thing was steep!
You are doing so, so great!! Wow! I am envious… and so proud of how hard you are working! I think I’m envious of the running partner thing, I’m still lacking one of those.
Anyway — I hope you are so proud of yourself!! You deserve it!
