Behold, SUPERKIM! November 7, 2007

Posted by kimayars Run Digg! this story! Digg! this story. , trackback

Tonight I went to my EZ8 class.  So far I’ve been a little disappointed with the group exercises because I felt like I was being held back.  Tonight we met at the top of the Snoqualmie Parkway and ran all the way down (2 miles).  Then, on the way back, we were to run backwards for 1 minute, forwards for 2 minutes.  I was with 2 other people, and we were supposed to alternate.  There would always be one person running backwards while the other two jogged next to her making sure she didn’t run into anything.

After the second rotation it became clear that unless I broke off I would be disappointed with my running again. So I went for it.  I did the whole two miles, all UPHILL alternating 2 minutes forward, 1 minute backward.  My quads are going to hate me tomorrow!  But it felt so good to just GO.  I felt bad leaving the other two girls, but only for a little bit.  :-)

So that makes a total of 8 miles today.  Who would have thunk? The old Kim would have bagged on the EZ8 class tonight because I ran with Beth this morning.  But SUPERKIM is here.  Watch out! KAPOW!

I’m guessing that more than a few of your fellow EZ8ers were inspired. And, next class, one of them will say, “You inspired me during our last session. When you make your break, I’ll be right there with you.”

Maybe you should rename yours “Craz8ers” (not crazy-insane but crazy-for-running) and keep goin’ for it! :)

I think you need a cape and a tiarra! Sounds like a tough workout!
