Pony Massage September 24, 2008
Posted by kimayars UncategorizedTigger got a massage today. It’s funny how I will carve nearly 3 hours out of my schedule for Tigger to have a massage, yet not for myself. Hmph.
I must say Tigger did really enjoy his massage. If you are in Western Washington (the state, that is) and are looking for an equine bodyworker, shoot me a line. She’s good.
I have to take oldest daughter to her allergy appointment (peanut allergies suck) and then go to work, so no riding tomorrow. I have my lesson on Thursday though. I can’t wait for that.
Another gym date with Kristi at the butt-crack of dawn. I’m not sure what I’m going to do yet. I’m sure yawning will be on the agenda. ![]()

I recently bought a canine massage book. I’ve been using some of these techniques on my dogs, some of the rescue dogs on the transport to calm them and my SIL’s dog who is suffering from cancer. I saw, too, the resources for equine massage. Massage is very powerful–but like you, I’ve never taken the time to do it (largely because a good massage leaves you totally useless for the rest of the day!)
“butt-crack” of dawn…Kim, you always make me laugh. Thanks for it this morning!
Why is it we take better care of those around us, animals included, than we often do ourselves? I think Oprah has been doing a show on that for 20 years. To encourage my self to get massages once a month, I prepaid for 3 massage sessions at a local PT office in early July. I have not used one of them yet.
Don’t forget about yourself, you deserve a massage too
