Starting to lose it… October 22, 2008
Posted by kimayars UncategorizedThe calorie counting thing is getting old. I’m tired, cranky, and hungry. I’m going to take a second look at The Zone. It’s just so much work, though. I’m worried that I can’t maintain it. I guess all you can do is try, right?

It’s sorta funny - this is the exact reaction I had to the Zone back when I was introduced to it!
That said, once you get through all the chapters, you realize that the author has put together a relatively easy set of guidelines to figure out your diet. The challenge, in retrospect, is in tearing down all the assumptions we have about diet and replacing them w/a new model.
It’s probably a lot like going from Western Style Riding to English. You have to do some re-learning. But, in the end, you’re better for having learned both!
Almost impossible not to be cranky when you are on 5 hours of sleep. It has been scientifically proven that it is easier to lose weight when sleeping 8 hours a night! Go to bed earlier!
